Fourth of July in the Land of The Free

Hi Friends! Sorry I have been absent for almost two weeks but I actually went on vacation for the first time in a long time. I went to Hilton Head with my family to celebrate my last summer break before I start medical school in the fall; and concluded the trip with a weekend in DC! I will sharing pictures from the beach part of the trip soon, but thought my Independence Day-inspired outfit that I wore in the capitol was more appropriate for this week. The skirt is the same one from a few posts ago (<a href=”https://blousesbaublesblush.wordpress.com/2014/04/27/what-goes-around/”></a&gt;) and the ‘top’ is an old borrowed dress from my big sis that was too short so I threw the maxi skirt over it. Voila! Problem solved! What do you think of my solution? What are you doing to celebrate the 4th of July?!

Hi Fashion-lovers!

With the holidays around the corner I want to start sharing some outfit inspo for all of the fancy festive get-togethers that you need to look cute for! Obviously the holidays are a time for shine and shimmer and I wanted to start the season off right by wearing both! I wore this outfit to a very special birthday gathering recently and have to say I had a lot of fun because I felt like my outfit was very fun! My favorite parts of this outfit are the sparkly shoes and the cool cut-out on my middle back. I think it’s the perfect way to show a little skin without feeling overexposed because it’s not a terribly common body part to show, which makes it even more fun! What’s your favorite way to add an unexpected surprise to your holiday ensembles?

Ps: Please excuse the super pale skin, it’s bundle-up weather here in Ohio and it doesn’t see much sun! 🙂
